PRESIDENT
Howard is the current president of the South Shepparton Community Centre.
He is a former member of the Chamber of Commerce, and has lived in Shepparton for the past 20 years and been involved widely in local community and commerce.
Howard owned a local business supporting the community with their computer software and office equipment needs, and is now retired.
VICE PRESIDENT
Morry is the current vice president of the centre, and has been involved with footy clubs and various other clubs over many many years.
He has lived in Shepparton for 74 years, and is a former member of the Chamber of Commerce.
Morry ran a successful business for over 20 years and is now enjoying his retirement.
SECRETARY
Tamara took on the Committee Secretary role in December 2024.
As well as volunteering at the centre one-day a week, Tamara works within the Community Services industry.
Tamara comes with a wealth of knowledge to the South Shepparton Community Centre with great leadership skills.
TREASURER
Melissa has over 25 years of experience in the corporate sector and brings a deep passion for community connection and wellbeing.
She is dedicated to ensuring people feel supported, included, and connected in their communities.
Melissa currently serves as Vice President of Soroptimist International Shepparton, where she actively contributes to initiatives that empower and support the community.
COMMITTEE MEMBER
Bernadette has been a volunteer at the centre for 7 years, and has volunteered in the community for 10 years with the Salvation Army and Mooroopna Op Shop.
Bernadette goes above and beyond to help the community, always with a smile on her face.
Volunteering reminds Bernadette of the importance of compassion , connection, and helping one another through life changes.
COMMITTEE MEMBER
I am Gale Hatton and I am married with two daughters and five grandchildren.
I have a vast array of experience in many areas have worked in real estate, accounting, local council, medical, medical imaging and Department of Health and Human Services.
I am currently a member of Soroptimists International Shepparton, assist with St Vincent de Paul in their welfare department, U3A and Mooroopna Croquet Association.

Asten McKenzie is a long‑term Shepparton resident and community services worker committed to helping people feel connected to their local community.
With experience across not‑for‑profit, government and community programs, Asten brings strengths in stakeholder engagement and governance support.
She is passionate about contributing to inclusive, community‑led initiatives.
